For buildings requiring an EPC, details of the building fabric and services installations will be needed, together with scaled drawings. A site visit is likely to be required to gather or check information provided. For large buildings with complex building services sufficient time should be allowed to gather the information and produce an EPC in advance of marketing the building.
The EPC will allow occupiers to choose buildings with good energy performance and incur lower energy costs. It is anticipated that poor performing buildings will eventually have to be discounted on the sale or lettings market.
